Aluminium
The most common CNC machining material. Lightweight, excellent machinability, good strength-to-weight ratio.
- 6082 T6 — versatile, good corrosion resistance
- 7075 T6 — high strength, aerospace
- 2017A — good machinability, general engineering
- AlMgSi — anodisable, decorative parts
Steel
For parts requiring hardness and high mechanical strength.
